"The experts in part-task simulation training"

Motion platform

In the simulated environment, the sensation of motion experienced by the brain is provided optically, by visual cues. However, this sensation of motion can be dramatically enhanced by even modest levels of stimulation of the inner ear, through physical movement applied to the operator’s seat / cabin.

Through extensive simulation testing, SFS determined that a wholly convincing training experience could still be achieved with a relatively modest motion experience, thereby negating the requirement for large and hazardous 6-axis hydraulic platforms.

SFS’ in-house developed and built bio-robotic motion cueing platform is the result of this testing programme.
